Molly Roberts
Molly Roberts, the manager of Bahamas Realty Abaco, has an extensive
background in marketing and consumer research as well as interior
design and graphic arts. Born in Philadelphia and raised in North
Carolina and Chicago, Molly moved to The Bahamas upon her marriage
to her husband, a Bahamian national, and joined the firm when
Bahamas Realty Ltd opened its Abaco branch. Molly is very active
in several community projects in Abaco including Abaco Animals
Require Friends, Abaco's animal rights organization.
Chris Roberts
Bahamas Realty is pleased to announce that Chris Roberts is now
associated with its Marsh Harbour office. After years in the
construction business, Chris has decided to make a change and
wear something other than his construction hat! With his experience
in the construction industry and knowledge of the property market,
he is a welcome addition to our Abaco Office. Chris is a graduate
of Duke University with a degree in civil engineering. He began
his career with Cavalier Construction in Freeport. His career
in construction has included international markets, with SPAN
International in Nassau and the Bahamian market, with Osprey
Developers also of Nassau. A frequent visitor to the Abacos since
childhood, Chris relocated to Abaco in 1990 and has been responsible
for the construction of several private residences and public
buildings, including St. Francis Catholic Church and The Shops
of Royal Harbour Village. Chris has served in local government
on the Town Planning Board and is active in several areas of
community service.
Mayumi Albury
Mayumi Albury
A native of Cuba, Mayumi moved to Abaco in 1999. A multi-talented
woman, Mayumi taught physical education in her native land and,
until joining the team at Bahamas Realty, worked in the hotel
and resort industry as well as insurance and accounting. She
is also licensed in massage therapy and cosmetology. Married
to a Bahamian, Mayumi enjoys boating and caring for her dogs
in her spare time. She looks forward to a long, rewarding career
with Bahamas Realty.

Immigration Information
To ensure the maximum
benefit to The Bahamas from the National Bahamas Investment Authority
(BIA), certain Immigration provisions will apply:
1. Work Permits
Necessary work permits for key personnel will be granted. Businesses
requiring permits for persons other than key personnel are encouraged
to discuss these requests with The Bahamas Investment Authority
in advance.
2. International
Owner of Second homes
Overseas Investors may acquire residential properties in The
Bahamas of up to five acres without prior Government approval.
Such acquisitions are required to be registered in accordance
with the International Persons< Landholding Act. Second Home
Owners are eligible for a Home Owners Residence Card, renewable
annually. This card will: facilitate entry into The Bahamas and
entitle the owner, his spouse and minor children to enter and
remain in The Bahamas for the duration of the validity of the
card. Application may be made to the Director of Immigration.
3. Annual or Permanent
Residence
Accelerated consideration of applications for annual or permanent
residence will be given to: major international investors; and
fit and proper owners of residence valued at $500,000 or more.

5. Local Partners
in Joint Ventures
International investors are encouraged to establish joint ventures
with Bahamian partners. The choice of such Bahamian partners
is in the absolute discretion of the investor.

Wholesale and Retail Operations;
Commission agencies engaged in the import/export trade;
Real estate and domestic property management agencies;
Domestic newspapers and magazine publications;
Domestic advertising and public relations firms;
Nightclubs and restaurants, except specialty, gourmet and ethnic
restaurants and restaurants operating in a hotel, resort complex
or tourist attraction;
Security services;
Domestic distribution of building supplies;
Construction companies, except for special structures for which
international expertise is required;
Personal cosmetic/beauty establishments;
Shallow-water scale-fish, crustacea, mollusks and sponge-fishing
operations;
Auto and appliance service operations; and Public transportation.
International Investors
may engage in the wholesale distribution of any product they
produce locally.
