Bluff House --
as much or as little activity as you want
As a guest
of Bluff House, your privacy will always be respected. To assure
that your vacation at Bluff House is a an exceptional personal
experience, we will do as much or as little as you want us to.
We have no "organized group activities" (except dining - but that's another
story!) ... our guests are invited to do as little or as much
as they want.
Enjoy doing nothing
at Bluff House
For those who think that doing nothing is doing something
special, Green Turtle Cay has an abundance of quiet, deserted,
pristine beaches where you can wander without seeing another
set of footprints. With almost a dozen secluded beaches from which to choose,
you're sure to find THE perfect spot to "unjangle"
your frayed and jagged nerves.
Following
lunch or before the cocktail hour and dinner, there is also the
favourite pastime of napping in one of the Club's hammocks slung
between two palm trees, on Bluff House' private beach.
... or do a little
bit of everything at Bluff House
For those
who want a little more "action" in their vacation,
activities range from snorkeling off our private sandy beach,
using our equipment to play on the Club's newly resurfaced tennis court, swim from one of the
decks or directly from the beach. Guests can participate in some
of the finest scuba diving to be found.
Or take a trip
with Lincoln
Jones
(a legend in his own mind) who will take you on a wondrous snorkel
and fishing trip where you can choose to help catch your food,
after which he will find a deserted beach and cook a terrific
lunch. Linc leaves around 9.30am and returns at about 4pm.
You can also
choose to spend the day with handsome, blue-eyed Ronnie
Sawyer (featured
in the April '97 issue of Saltwater Sportsman). He'll take you
to the flats for some exciting action fighting the elusive and
tantalizing bonefish. You can bring your own equipment or Ronnie
will supply it and he will find you bonefish ranging in size
up to 14 pounds within minutes of leaving The Bluff House Beach
Hotel. Ronnie' s father Joe Sawyer is a living legend and has
fished and dove these waters all his 60 plus years and is an
expert at finding big grouper, snapper, amberjack or barracuda
on the reefs.
Self drive boat
rentals ranging in size from 14' to 20' are also available. Prices
currently range from $50 to $120 per day, with discounts available
for longer rental periods.
