In addition to the resort's private beachfront and inviting tiki huts (pix below), Guana Cay offers nearly seven miles of thick, powdery, white sand beach which stretches the entire length of the Atlantic side of the Cay.

The long, wide ocean beach is stark white, backed by grassy dunes. Boulders stud the electric blue water here and there. Waves crash against the rocky outcroppings, burst into the air, then pour over them like waterfalls. Shaded by palms and Casuarina pines, this is by far one of the nicest beaches in the Bahamas. Great Guana Cay is also listed in Fodor's under "FODORS CHOICE" for best Bahamas beaches. According to the internationally respected Fromer's Guide ... "The cay (offers a) seven-mile-long beach, which some consider unsurpassed in the Bahamas."

The crystal clear, turquoise waters are home to one of the world's largest barrier reefs which starts right off the Atlantic beach. No developments intrude on the natural seascape and it is often completely deserted. It is without a doubt, the most beautiful beach in the Bahamas.
