Abaco Administrators
are transferred

Senior Administrator,
Mr. Everette Hart, has been transferred to Georgetown, Exuma,
effective August 19, 2002. He will be replaced with Sr. Administrator
Alexander Williams, who will be coming here from Exuma. Mr. Hart
has been here since May 1995. He expertly led Abaco into Local
Government with the first Local Government election in 1996,
acquainting the voters as to the system, then educating the Committees,
Councils and Boards as to their duties and responsibilities.
He has guided Central Abaco and the Cays since that time. He
came here from the Parliamentary Registry office. Mr. Williams
will officially take over on August 23.
Also being transferred
is Deputy Administrator Ivan Ferguson who was responsible for
North Abaco and Grand Cay. He arrived in August 2000 while that
area of our island was still reeling from the effects of Hurricane
Floyd. He will be handing over responsibility to Deputy Administrator
Gary Knowles on August 16 and will report to his new assignment,
South Eleuthera, on August 19. Mr. Knowles is presently in North
Andros. Mr. Ferguson was Administrator on San Salvador before
coming to Abaco.
