Abaco Administrators are transferred
The Abaconian - 1 August 2002

Senior Administrator, Mr. Everette Hart, has been transferred to Georgetown, Exuma, effective August 19, 2002. He will be replaced with Sr. Administrator Alexander Williams, who will be coming here from Exuma. Mr. Hart has been here since May 1995. He expertly led Abaco into Local Government with the first Local Government election in 1996, acquainting the voters as to the system, then educating the Committees, Councils and Boards as to their duties and responsibilities. He has guided Central Abaco and the Cays since that time. He came here from the Parliamentary Registry office. Mr. Williams will officially take over on August 23.

Also being transferred is Deputy Administrator Ivan Ferguson who was responsible for North Abaco and Grand Cay. He arrived in August 2000 while that area of our island was still reeling from the effects of Hurricane Floyd. He will be handing over responsibility to Deputy Administrator Gary Knowles on August 16 and will report to his new assignment, South Eleuthera, on August 19. Mr. Knowles is presently in North Andros. Mr. Ferguson was Administrator on San Salvador before coming to Abaco.
