Various inter-island ferries connect the Abacos' two mainland airports (Marsh Harbour and Treasure Cay International Airports) to the off-lying cays. If you're unsure as to which airport is closer to your destination, click here.

The GREEN TURTLE FERRY SCHEDULE is for service between TREASURE CAY FERRY DOCK and GREEN TURTLE CAY. The balance of the schedules (GUANA CAY, ELBOW CAY-HOPE TOWN, MAN-'O-WAR) are for service between the respective cays and MARSH HARBOUR) . SCHEDULES UPDATED January 3, 2002

IMPORTANT NOTE: The GREEN TURTLE FERRY departs from the Treasure Cay ferry dock - ALL OTHER FERRYS depart from their respective MARSH HARBOUR BASES or the FERRY DOCK at Mangos (see Marsh Harbour map).

Treasure Cay International Airport should be your destination if you're planning to visit Treasure Cay or Green Turtle Cay.

Treasure Cay (actually a settlement on Great Abaco, not an island as the name implies), is a 15 minute taxicab ride from Treasure Cay International Airport.

To get to Green Turtle Cay from Treasure Cay International, take a taxi to the Green Turtle Ferry Dock from the airport [about 8 minutes to the dock ($6-$8 for two persons, depending on luggage)]. The Green Turtle Ferry will take 15-30 minutes depending on your destination [White Sound, Black Sound, New Plymouth Public Dock or elsewhere] and the number of passengers on board. Green Turtle is approximately 4 miles directly across The Sea of Abaco, and it's usually a pleasant and colorful ride. If asked, your ferry captain will radio ahead to your rental's manager-caretaker, or to your hotel manager to arrange transportation from the appropriate dock to your vacation accommodations. Ferry charters are also available starting at approximately $40 per trip.

Marsh Harbour International Airport is The Abacos gateway to Marsh Harbour, Elbow Cay, Great Guana Cay, Lubber's Quarters Cay, Little Harbour, Cherokee Sound, and Man-O-War Cay. To serve these destinations, there are currently two ferry services operating out of Marsh Harbour (Albury's - the oldest and largest, and AIT ). Your airport taxi driver will take you to the ferry that's appropriate for your final destination.
